Mission control found a face

Cat's Planet

The oldest world in range is quietly watching back.

MISSION 01

First Contact

At 03:17 ship time, the survey crew found a rust world where the highlands form ears, eyes, whiskers, and one unimpressed mouth. The markings are not painted. They continue through the oldest craters. Every telescope agrees on the face. None agree on whether it noticed us.

DAYSIDE PASS

Orbital Habits

Dayside keeps the original scarred expression under a hard amber sun. Small probes circle twice, lose courage, and circle once more. The planet never turns for a better angle.

NIGHTSIDE PASS

Night Watch

The dark hemisphere holds one eye on every departing vessel. Fine red dust falls upward near the whisker basin. Loose equipment migrates toward the warmest crater.

Known Conditions

Mission control records only what remained true on three consecutive passes. Anything less reliable stays in the glove box.
